Marinade Recipe for Beef Shish Kabobs or Steak

When I got married (now celebrating 37 years), the father of a good friend of mine’s gave me away. He and his whole family were good people. He gave me this marinade recipe that is absolutely divine! It’s not too overpowering; it’s just awesome. Enjoy!

Yields enough for 1 ½ lbs. of meat.


½ c. ketchup

1 tsp. salt

2 Tbsp. beef steak sauce

2 Tbsp. sugar

2 Tbsp. cider vinegar

2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

¼ c. water

2 Tbsp. salad oil


Combine all ingredients. Bring ingredients to a boil and pour over meat. Let meat marinade for several hours or overnight.
