Profile of Akmal Saleem
Akmal Saleem has been the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Director for Seraaj Family Homes, Inc. (SFH) and Al-Hajj, Inc. for approximately half a decade. As the CQI Director, he is responsible for coordinating, planning and managing comprehensive compliance, risk management, quality improvement and records management programs for all company regions. In each department under both agencies, he sets the highest standards for quality improvement practices.
Having worked with Alabama’s Department of Youth Services in Mt. Meigs, Alabama, Saleem began as a Behavioral Therapist and Case Manager at SFH. In conjunction with this experience, Saleem has more than 25 years of experience in the social services field. He is also a highly decorated military veteran for having served approximately 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force. Pulling from his military experience, Saleem implements and promotes teamwork, respect for cultural diversity and striving for continuous education.
After receiving his Associates degree from Maxwell Community College in Air Craft Armament Technology, Saleem earned his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University (ASU). Later he earned his Masters in Counseling from ASU, as well.
