Profile of Judy Lovelace
Dr. Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Professional Counselor, and a Counselor Supervisor. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her Masters in Professional Counseling Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University (Washington D.C. campus). Prior to these achievements, Dr. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown University.
Dr. Kelly is a significant contributor to the community. She currently teaches forensic psychology, clinical interviewing and diagnostic assessment at Trinity University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Kelly is also the Clinical Director of Mid-Atlantic Children’s Services in Maryland, and the Vice-President and COO of Bethel Christian Fellowship Empowerment Center in Washington D.C.
As a member of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Kelly has used her knowledge and shared her experience in psychology through volunteer works, professional teaching and leadership experience. She has taught about the danger of anger, mental health awareness and teen pregnancy at institutions including Howard University, Bowie University and Trinity University. Dr. Kelly has also led trainings about personality disorders, trauma and addiction, and building skills for ethical and effective practice.
In addition to sharing her knowledge, she provides individual and group therapy to members of the community. She works closely with Bethel Christian Fellowship in Washington D.C. as the Restoration Ministry Chairperson to provide counseling and outreach services to impoverished congregation members and the surrounding community. She also conducts psychological and psycho-educational evaluations for children, adolescents and adults through her self-owned, outpatient mental health organization called Changing Cycles, LLC.
